Rick Stein

Rick is quite simply an inspiration; chef, writer, traveller, restaurateur and master of our TV screens. We have long wished he’d join us for cod season and now it’s really happening!

Rick is best known for his love of simple seafood having launched The Seafood Restaurant in 1975 in Padstow, Cornwall. As he said at the time “nothing is more exhilarating than fresh fish simply cooked” – a mantra we agree with. Since then his business has grown to include 12 restaurants across the UK and Australia and he has travelled the world making memorable food and travel TV programmes.

This will be an adventure not to miss as Rick is joined by our good friend and artist Tom Frost and baker extraordinaire Richard Bertinet. When the weather gods allow, we’ll be fishing for cod, hiking and exploring. When we withdraw inside by the fire, we’ll be baking, printing and of course cooking and eating with Rick and Valentine.

Nieves Barragán Mohacho

Nieves grew up in Bilbao in Spain’s Basque region, learning from an early age about the regions produce and cuisine.

Tom Frost

A great friend of ours, Tom Frost is a well-known print maker and illustrator based in Wales. He divides his time between print making, restoring his crumbling Georgian house in rural Wales and raising a young family.

Valentine Warner

Val is a founding partner with Ingunn on Kitchen On The Edge, and the host chef for each event.

Alex Pole

Alex Pole has a lifelong passion for metal work.

Gunvor Tangrand

Gunvor Tangrand is a local ceramic artist and responsible for equipping our restaurant with its truly unique tableware.

Nuno Mendes

Born and raised in Lisbon, Nuno has dedicated his life to exploring the many facets of what creates exceptional hospitality.

James Lowe

James Lowe opened Lyle’s, in Shoreditch, in April 2014. The food is British, produce-led and driven by a common sense philosophy.

Richard Corrigan

A farmer’s son, Richard began his teenage career in the kitchens and has cooked all his life. He is a vehement supporter of British and Irish produce and small independent suppliers.

Ros ‘Her Dark Materials’ Atkinson

Ros is a food and still life photographer based in the Cotswolds.

Audun Rasmussen

Before you have even said hello to Audun, you will be greeted with a mischievous smile and twinkling eyes. He is the one who will guide you safely and expertly through this wild terrain we call home. The man’s mind is an encyclopedic field guide.

Masaki Sugisaki

Masaki is known for pushing the boundaries of Japanese cuisine whilst honouring its heritage. His creativity and impeccable sourcing are what led us to him. We can’t wait to see how his menus develop for Kitchen On The Edge.

Fuchsia Dunlop

Fuchsia is a hugely influential cook and food writer specialising in Chinese cuisine. 

Paul Pethick

Paul Pethick is a creative. He's worked in many areas over the last thirty years; advertising, film, TV, animation, music and design. Job titles have encompassed creative director, musician, designer, producer, writer and even actor. Ultimately his specialism is bringing playful involvement to a broad range of situations.

Richard Bertinet

Richard Bertinet is an award-winning, renowned baker who now bakes and teaches in Bath, Somerset.
